Eurofins Physic‑chemical Test Reveals Rich Internal Compounds of Izuba Tea Rwandan Highland Tea
The unique high‑altitude mountain terroir of Karongi, Rwanda creates distinctive flavour profiles and rich natural compounds for local highland tea. Rooted in this prime tea‑growing zone, Izuba Tea places great emphasis on intrinsic product quality. Recently, finished tea samples were sent to Eurofins, a CNAS‑accredited global third‑party laboratory, for comprehensive physic‑chemical analysis. The test results demonstrate abundant bioactive compounds, confirming the outstanding quality brought by Rwanda’s high‑altitude growing conditions.
According to Eurofins test reports, the tested Izuba tea sample achieves 51.9 % water‑soluble extract, indicating high levels of soluble substances for rich‑bodied, robust liquor and good brew endurance. Total polyphenols reach 26.5 %, total catechins 25.06 %, with EGCG content at 9.24 %, delivering strong antioxidant potential. Caffeine registers 3.97 %. Total amino acids hit 17.5 g/100 g, with free amino acids at 3.8 %. Abundant amino acids bring fresh, sweet after‑taste and balance the astringency from polyphenols for a smooth, mellow drinking experience. Moisture content stands at 7.38 %, an ideal level for long‑term storage, while total chlorophyll is 2.71 mg/g, preserving the botanical characteristics of high‑mountain tea.
These favourable physic‑chemical indicators stem from Karongi’s high‑altitude environment. Large diurnal temperature differences slow tea bush growth, allowing tea leaves to fully accumulate polyphenols, catechins, amino acids and other flavour‑forming substances. Supported by Izuba Tea’s standardized farm management and modern manufacturing workflow, natural compounds from the terroir are well‑preserved in finished tea products.
Benefiting from its rich inner compounds, Izuba Tea works well for direct drinking, custom blending, tea‑bag raw material and beverage‑base applications. Izuba Tea uses third‑party lab data to deliver transparent, traceable quality evidence for global buyers.
Going forward, Izuba Tea will keep supplying premium Rwandan highland tea leveraging local terroir advantages. We sincerely welcome global tea brands, importers and distributors for long‑term business partnerships to unlock the market potential of African high‑altitude tea.
