ABOUT
IZUBA TEA
Izuba is a modern organic tea enterprise rooted in Rwanda, Africa. Located in the prime tea-growing region of Karongi, Western Rwanda at an altitude of 2,400 meters, we integrate tea cultivation, intensive processing, R&D and export trade. Leveraging Rwanda’s unique natural endowment as the "Land of a Thousand Hills" and strict quality control aligned with EU organic standards, we are dedicated to bringing the pure tea aroma from the roof of Africa to tea lovers worldwide.
Our Factory — Where Rwanda's Highland Tea Comes to Life
Rooted in the authentic essence of tea and inspired by nature, Izuba Tea is a tea-making pioneer in Rwanda's high mountains. "Izuba" means "sun" in Kinyarwanda — and it embodies our promise to every single tea leaf: to draw upon the light of nature, deliver pure flavor, and bring the warmth and purity of Africa's highlands to the world.
Based in Karongi District, western Rwanda, at an elevation of 2,400 meters and above, our integrated production base spans the entire industry chain — from cultivation and R&D to deep processing and export — allowing us to exercise rigorous control over every stage of the tea-making process with meticulous craftsmanship.

Grown Naturally, on Our Own Plantations
Our self-operated ecological tea plantation of approximately 300 hectares is nurtured by lofty mountains and misty skies, where tea trees grow naturally at their own pace. Following the "tea-forest symbiosis" ecological farming model, we use no chemical fertilizers and no pesticides, preserving the mountain ecology in balance. This gradual, unhurried growth gives our tea leaves a rich, natural rustic flavor, profound inner quality, and organic purity confirmed by zero-residue testing.
Smart Manufacturing, Unchanged Flavor
Fresh leaves, hand-picked at dawn amid the morning dew, arrive at our factory within two hours of harvest. An intelligent tea-processing production line then precisely controls temperature and humidity at every stage, applying the optimal sequence for each tea type — constant-temperature withering, rolling, precisely timed fermentation where the variety calls for it, and gentle drying — maximizing the preservation of fresh flavor and nutritional value, so that every leaf keeps its natural essence intact. As we believe: "It is not about conquering nature, but about living in symbiosis with nature."
Rigorous Quality Control, Adhering to International Standards
EU organic farming standards applied across all cultivation activities
Comprehensive testing from fresh leaf to finished product — including heavy metal, moisture content, ash content, and pesticide-residue screening to EU export standards
End-to-end digital traceability — every batch is recorded with its geographical coordinates and soil conditions, and every product carries a unique identity code, allowing consumers to trace its entire journey from plantation to cup
Authoritative third-party testing with transparent, readily verifiable reports
