Izuba Tea Opens 2026–2027 Harvest Season at Karongi Highland Gardens, Cultivating Premium Rwandan Tea at 2,400 Metres and Above
KARONGI, Rwanda – Izuba Tea Co., Ltd. has officially commenced the 2026–2027 harvest season at its highland tea gardens in Karongi District, Rwanda's Western Province, where tea is cultivated at elevations of 2,400 metres and above.
Highland Gardens & Fresh Leaf
High altitude, cool temperatures and frequent mountain mist slow the growth of the tea bushes, allowing the leaves to develop a richer concentration of natural compounds – the foundation of the company's clean, full-flavoured orthodox, CTC, green, white and herbal teas.
Fresh leaf is rushed from the gardens to the factory within two hours of plucking, preserving freshness before processing begins. Once at the plant, the leaf moves through a 53,000 m² smart facility featuring a 100,000-class clean workshop, where automated, enclosed and traceable production lines turn it into premium tea under strict quality control.

Smart Factory & Full-Chain Quality
"Every season, our team in Karongi works to protect the natural advantage of this highland terroir," said a company representative, "from hand-plucking at peak freshness to delivery at the factory within two hours." The company's name, Izuba, means "sun" in Kinyarwanda – a reminder of the natural energy that defines its tea.
Complete Product Portfolio
The full product portfolio is available for global buyers: orthodox black tea (BOP, OP, OP1, FOP), CTC black tea (D, PD, F, PF, PF1, BP, BP1), green tea, white tea, and a caffeine-free herbal range including rooibos, peppermint, lemongrass, ginger and hibiscus – in bulk, private label and foodservice formats.📷 [Insert image: 工厂车间与产品组合 — Smart factory production line & product range]
